200 Personnel Join Cleanup Action in Kampung Gembira Gembrong

They join locals who clean their respective houses

Around 200 joint personnel joined locals in a cleanup action at the Kampung Gembira Gembrong settlement, Jalan Basuki Rahmat, RW 01, Cipinang Besar Utara, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, Saturday (10/1).

Jatinegara Sub-district Head, Muktar said the 200 personnel involved were PPSU from eight urban villages, Water Resources (SDA) Task Force, Bina Marga, Environment Sub-agency, Parks and City Forest Sub-agency, as well as Satpol PP.

Together with RT 05 and 06/RW 01, they removed debris from building materials such as wood, soil, iron, garbage, and others, including also cleaning up gardens, drains, neighborhood roads, painting walls, and so on.

"They join locals who clean their respective houses," he stated.

According to him, the cleanup will be continued until Sunday (10/2) considering there is still a lot of material and debris to be cleaned from the site, including the gradual asphalting of environmental roads.

To support it, at least five trucks from the SDA and Environment Sub-agency were prepared for the transport of debris.

"Including PPSU operational vehicles from eight urban villages," he concluded.
